mong us are a special breed of folks who seem born with a natural instinct for the role of host or hostess. These are folks who seem to have limitless energy and enthusiasm to please others, and who open their homes and their hearts to new visitors and friends. Such is the nature of Deloras and Arnold Smith.
|
Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Deloras has fished the Terrace region since moving here in 1964. An excellent cook, and acknowledged expert in fishing and the outdoors in general, Deloras will be at your side from morning to night. She will fix your breakfast, drive you to her favorite fishing locations, snell your hooks, put you on fish, and set the shoreline campfire when weather dictates. Lunch is served riverside, and snacks are available throughout the day, frequently including home-smoked salmon. At day's end, Delores will whip up tasty meals of local game and seafood.
Meals are flexible, and we can cater to any special dietary needs. |

Arnold is a machine operator by trade, and an experienced outdoorsman. With over 30 years experience fishing the Terrace area, he knows our regional waters better than most. Originally licensed as a fishing guide in 1984, today he is also "chief cook and bottle washer", making sure that fishing equipment and boat are fully operational. He also filets all our clients' fish, and acts as a guide on weekends.
Arnold's love of the outdoors runs deep - he fishes and hunts throughout the year, and frequently drives into the bush just to appreciate and photograph the wildlife. Among Arnold's local catches of note are a 90 pound Chinook in 1986, and many large Steelhead.
